Salted Irish Coffee
Kelly AllenAn Appalachian twist on an old Irish duo. Chilled coffee meets classic Irish cream, with a little boost from our hickory-infused Salt & Sorghum bitters. We skipped the traditional whipped cream in favor of cacao powder, but you could go for the cream and serve it in a small mug if that's your speed.
Ingredients
- 3 oz brewed coffee, chilled
- ¾ oz Irish cream (we used Five Farms)
- ¼ oz maple syrup
- 2 dashes Artemisia Salt & Sorghum Bitters
- 1 dash Artemisia Oak Bitters
- Cacao powder, for garnish
Preparation
- Combine the coffee, Irish cream, maple syrup and bitters in a shaker over ice. Stir until very cold. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a dusting of cacao powder.
